LTER Graduate Students

The National Science Foundation established the LTER program in 1980 to support research on long-term ecological phenomena in the United States. The LTER Graduate Student Committee was established to foster interaction among graduate students working at LTER sites and between students and senior LTER scientists, to create student opportunities for intersite research, and to develop interdisciplinary graduate student training programs. Membership includes student representatives from the LTER sites. The ultimate objective of the graduate student committee is to establish a permanent platform for inter-site communication, both between students and between students and scientists.
